Returned Goods and Cancellation Policy

Return\Cancellation Policy

General:

Items being returned to Marine Electrical Products (MEP) are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Items must be returned within 90 days of shipment.  Items being returned are required to have a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number assigned before processing. RGA numbers can be obtained from our Customer Service Department by calling 417-588-3128. RGA numbers should be written clearly on the outside of the shipping container being returned for processing.

Items returned for credit or remanufacture will be subject to inspection upon receipt. MEP personnel will evaluate each assembly for failure determination. Assemblies that are damaged by non-MEP employees, it agents, or company carriers, will be subject to additional repair replacement costs. MEP warrantees its products to be free from defect according to standard warranty policy.

If assemblies manufactured from multiple components are being returned, all original components are required to be intact. If any components have been removed or the assembly has been ‘cannibalized’, the assembly will be pro-rated at 80% of the component COST value to MEP.

Exceptions:

Items that are custom manufactured assemblies are unique in nature and cannot be resold and cannot be restocked. Custom assemblies will be remanufactured and restored to original working order and returned. Custom manufactured items returned for remanufacture are subject to evaluation by MEP employees for determination of failure.

Obsolete items are sold “as is” and will not be restocked. If the discontinued or obsolete items fail within the 90-day return period, a replacement will be sourced if available from inventory. MEP will not replace legacy items if not available in company warehouse.

Cancellations:

Orders move very quickly through our order system. Orders must be cancelled within 48 hours of original order placement to avoid cancellation fees. Orders cancelled after the 48 hour window may be subject to materials cost accrual. Customer will be responsible for any materials and labor costs associated with partial order fulfillment accrued at time of cancellation.
